Rainbow Tarns Bed and Breakfast is located on a beautiful secluded wooded site near Mammoth Lakes in the eastern Sierras nestled between dramatic pine-studded boulders
and several small meadow lakes known as tarns and once used as rainbow trout ponds... hence the origin of the name.
We stayed here in mid October shortly before they begin to phase down for the season.
The weather was perfect... the sun was out and the sky a clear blue setting off the peacefully rippling tarns shaded by aspens.
After a comfortable night in their Gemini suite, our hosts, Brock and Diane Thoman, prepared a delicious breakfast which we shared with the two other guests.
The beauty is in the attention to detail...
